Reconciliation Action Plan
Reconciliation Action Plan
Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria (RBGV) is proud to have launched its second Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) – and first Innovate RAP.
Our Innovate RAP encourages us to look outward and promote reconciliation in all our work: from our public programs, storytelling and education; to our landscaping and planting schemes; and the interpretation of our scientific collections and research.
The RAP also formalises our commitment to promoting cultural safety in our workplace, and working towards a society that understands and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, knowledge, contributions and cultures.
Our Innovate RAP was developed by the Gardens’ RAP Working Group, with the input and endorsement of the Traditional Owners of our two sites: Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation.
