Where can I play ball games, throw a frisbee, fly a kite?

Head to Woodland Picnic Area in the Bushland. It’s the best – and only – place these activities are permitted.

Where can I have a BBQ?

Free gas BBQs are located in Stringybark Picnic Area and Woodland Picnic Area in the Bushland. Portable BBQs are not permitted anywhere at Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.

Where can I go for a bushwalk?

Head to the Bushland for short walks or longer hikes through a range of different landscapes. Help protect the Bushland and stay safe by keeping to the paths and not approaching wildlife. Always check distances and take water and weather protection.

Where can I fly a drone?

Permits are required for drone and professional photography shoots. Please enquire at the Visitor Centre 

Where can I walk my dog?

No domestic pets are permitted at Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. This is to protect plants and wildlife. Registered assistance animals are welcome.
