Resilience by Nature: Wellbeing Leadership Days

A full day wellbeing leadership workshop for government school students in years 5/6.

Join us at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and Cranbourne for an enriching wellbeing leadership day designed especially for students in years 5/6.

Engage your students in a unique blend of immersive activities and educational experiences that promote physical health, mental well-being, and a deeper connection to the natural world. 

The workshop is co-led and designed by Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria Learning Facilitators, and 100 Story Building.

Program Highlights

Nature Walk: Explore the rich landscape of the Royal Botanic Gardens, and learn about physical, mental and emotional benefits of spending time outdoors.

Mindfulness in Nature: Practice mindfulness exercises surrounded by the tranquillity of the Gardens, helping to reduce stress and improve focus.

Creative Workshop: Engage in a nature-inspired Zine making workshop with 100 Story Building, fostering creativity and self-expression.

This opportunity is supported by the Department of Education’s Strategic Partnership Program Participation is free for government schools, places are limited.

Program Schedule

  • 10am: Arrival – snack
  • 10:15 am: Workshop 1: Health and Wellbeing in Nature
  • 11:45 am: BREAK
  • 12:45 pm:  Workshop 2: Zine Making
  • 2:15 pm: Program finish, evaluation
